I am a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience in the department of psychology of Pierre Mendès-France University, Grenoble. Currently, I am the head of the Laboratory of Psychology and Neurocognition, CNRS UMR 5105. I am a neurologist and also did training in the field of neuroscience research. From 1990-1995 I was a resident and then a staff neurologist at Cluj Hospital in Romania. I relocated to Grenoble, France in 1995, at which time I entered a degree program in neuroscience research. In 1999 I obtained a PhD in neuroscience from Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble. Since 1999 I have been working as an Assistant, then Associate Professor in Cognitive Neurosciences in the Department of Psychology (UPMF, Grenoble). From 2002-2007 I worked as a research associate for two years at Washington University in St Louis, USA.
My research activity explores the hemispheric specialization and cerebral correlates of language and memory operations, according to several intrinsic and extrinsic variables. This question is addressed in healthy subjects and patients by using behavior and neuroimaging methods (fMRI).
